Brief description on historic and ancient civilization:Introduction to the Ancient Maya: The Maya was probably the best known classical civilization of Mesoamerica in around 2600 B.C., and the starting point of the civilization was Yucatan. The civilization was found in present southern part of Mexico, Guatemala, northern Belize and western Honduras. The Maya was known for Astronomy, calendar system and also for hieroglyphic writing. The civilization had elaborated palaces, temples, pyramids, nicely decorated ceremonial architecture and all were built without any usage of metal tools.
Origin and development of The Maya Ancient Civilization:The Maya civilization had very high skilled farmers and weavers. There abilities were proved by finding reservoirs for rain water harvesting as the ground water was scarce. These reservoirs were built after clearing the Tropical rain forest. The weavers and potters had cleared the forest so that they can extend their trade network to other places easily.
The Maya Civilization adopted a government system for its policies and rules in an around 300 B.C., and considered chain of command system. The civilization was developed in form of a kingdom in an around 200-900 A.D. The Kingdom had many independent states with farming communities and large states were usually built around ceremonial centres. The civilization was started to decline in an around 900 A.D. but the reason for the decline of the civilization is still not known clearly. During the time of the decline of civilization the northern Maya civilization were combined into Toltec society and the southern part of the civilization had abandoned their cities.
